A GEORGE III MAHOGANY CLOTHES-PRESS
The rectangular dentilled cornice above a pair of panelled doors incorporating four simulated drawers, enclosing three shelves to one side and a later brass hanging rail and hooks, above a long drawer, on bracket feet, inscribed in chalk to the reverse 'M Strickland Store Howsham'

Sir Charles Strickland, 8th Bt. of Boynton (1819-1909) and by descent to his daughter
Esther Ann, wife of Colonel the Hon. Tatton Willoughby (d. 1947), and subsequently through her sister-in-law (and his niece)
