The moulded and fluted cornice above four panelled doors, the lower section with four drawers above four panelled doors, the side doors enclosing four drawers, the central doors enclosing two drawers, on a plinth base, losses, two handles missing, with fifteen later inscribed labels, some dated 1860, the doors and drawers later inscribed with numerals

Provenance
Probably supplied to Thomas John Wynn (d. 1832), 2nd Baron Newborough, for Glynllifon, Caernarvonshire, Wales, and by descent until sold with the house to the present owners.

Lot Essay

This linen-press, enriched with an antique fluted frieze, is likely to have been commissioned from local cabinet-makers by Thomas John Wynn (d. 1832), 2nd Baron Newborough. It bears labels listing linen added by the 3rd Baron in 1860.
