Williams and Gibton 1830-44 were descendants of the Dublin firm of cabinet-makers, Mack and Gibton formed in 1804. The Williams & Gibton stamps with a series of code numbers have been found on numerous pieces of furniture in Dublin, such as a set of twelve dining-chairs supplied to George Bomford, for Oakley Park, Kells, Co. Meath, in the 1830s, (The Knight of Glin, 'Dublin Directories and Trade Labels, Furniture History, 1985, p. 269-270).
