A GEORGE III MAHOGANY BUREAU-BOOKCASE
The scrolled broken pediment with central raised plinth and acanthus leaves issuing from the scrolls, above a dentil moulding and a blind fretwork frieze, above a pair of astragal glazed doors, enclosing three adjustable shelves, the bureau-slope enclosing a fitted interior with two blind fretwork drawers flanked by three C-scrolled arched recesses, above pigeon-holes and several small drawers, the lower section with four long graduated drawers and bracket feet, one glass pane cracked, the feet reduced and restored, the interior drawers replaced, the cornice probably associated, restorations to the astragal glazing bars, the reverse of the doors with holes for silk-backing
