A carved mahogany extending dining table, 19th century and later
bearing the patent Joseph Pitter, the rounded ends with a moulded edge opening to accomodate four extra leaves, having friezes with a gadrooned edge, on cabriole legs with foliate-carved knees terminating in ball and claw feet with castors, with central claw and ball foot, bearing a plaque with the patent Joseph Pitter, Birmingham, differences in the carving of the friezes on some of the leaves, elements renewed-1653/4in. (420cm.) extended, 60in. (152cm.) wide, 293/4in. (75.5cm.) high
