A late 18th/early 19th century Continental confiturier,
the stand formed with pierced garlands of grapes with foliage and vacant oval cartouches, with pierced guilloche border, on slim cylindrical stem rising from central floral sunburst, the base with well and domed sides with chased foliate border (lacking glass liner), marks worn, Mons 1796 - 21.5cm high, the base 22cm diam.; together with 12 Continental teaspoons, fiddle pattern, some initialled, 24.5oz.
