The 1-4-1R was built in the USA after the war in four factories. One ship carrying 12 locomotives sank in a storm and the cargo was never paid for. Fulgurex models of this prototype were made in all gauges, electric, and gauge 1 live steam. See Lots 246, 247, 277, 278, 300, 302
