incorporating alder, birch, beech and ash, each with curved bar top rail and spindle support with central vase splat, on ring turned legs joined by stretchers, remains of red stain

Lot Essay

This model of kitchen chair was made in large numbers at the end of the 19th century and was intended to be stained to simulate mahogany, thus the quality and combination of timber was unimportant.
