An oak armchair, Scottish, early 17th century
the rectangular panel back centred with a rosette and below a rosette carved top rail (previously taller), between stiff leaf uprights, the outcurved arms on turned supports, the beechwood seat part replaced and with an arcaded rail, on block and turned legs joined by stretchers, re-toed, branded five times to the back IR, and later carved to the reverse From Convent of St. Clair Overgate, Dundee Circa XV Centy
