An oak tester bedstead, English, 17th century and later
the headboard with foliate strapwork upper panels and a pair of recessed stylised foliate panels flanked by chequer borders and stiff leaf carved uprights, over a strapwork rail and four plain panels, the tester with eight lozenge-filled panels and a central pendant boss flanked by arcaded panels and channelled surrounds, supported on ring turned columns and square section bases, with channelled side rails and with a twin panelled end board -- 75in. (190cm.) long, 53in. (135cm.) wide, 77in. (196cm.) high
