An oak six leg refectory table, Lancashire/Lake District, early 18th century
the cleated twin plank top above an end frieze drawer and facing profusely carved stylised foliate frieze initialled and dated ''HH 1732'' and with parquetry inlaid to either end, the opposing frieze being applied but conforming and centred with the initials ''JR de T'' on ring turned and block legs headed with foliate carved applied tablets and terminating in turned feet, the legs joined by square section stretchers, the top possibly associated and refinished -- 96in. (244cm.) long, 32½in. (83cm.) high, 30in. (76cm.) deep
