Provenance
This writing box was reputedly given by Frank Schuster to Alice Sophia Caroline Millais, third daughter of Sir John E. Millais Bart. P.R.A. on the occasion of her wedding to Charles B Stuart Wortley, afterwards Lord and Lady Stuart of Wortley, on 6th January 1886.
