Tibet, 16th Century
Seated in dhyanasana on a lotus cushion with both hands in the earth-touching gesture, his voluminous robes incised with diamond, floral and cloudband borders, the rear of his robe incised overall with floral blossoms amidst scrolling foliage, his face in a joyous expression with wide open eyes, round cheeks, and lips curved in a broad smile, his peaked cap with a wide brim incised with a moon and sun in front and with floral scrolls at the rear, base sealed and inscribed at rear 'To perform benefit to Lord Padmasambhava, I bow to the Lord of Yoga, Dechen Dorje Ritropa'
