A Small Gilt-Bronze Melon-Form Box and Cover
17th/18th Century
Well cast as a lobed melon with a leafy vine trailing across the cover from the short stem at one end, the base of the box concave; together with a small boxwood fan-shaped box and cover, Qianlong, finely carved top and bottom with a foliate dragon above foliate panels on the canted shoulders, both sections with tiny holes pierced through opposite sides for suspension
