(9 7/16 x 5 7/8in.), contemporary calf, covers stamped in a fine blind diaper within a double fillet gilt border, spines in six compartments, red and green morocco gilt-lettered labels in two, gilt-panelled in the rest; board edges and turn-ins gilt, marbled edges, by Josiah Westley with his ticket in vol. 1, extremities rubbed; spotting, foxing and a few browned sheets occasionally throughout the work but overall in fine condition. First Edition in English, 796 (of 801) engraved plates, 672 of them colored or partly colored by hand (12 of the uncolored plates are folding), 1 folding letterpress chart, the plates by T.
