[With]: POINTIS. Two manuscript documents, 8o, together three pages on two sheets, [Carthegena, 1697]. The documents relate matters concerning the French attack on Carthegena organized and led by Baron de Pointis. The expedition left Brest on 9 January 1697, stopping at Santo Domingo to pick up Jean Baptiste Ducasse, then governor of Torgtuga, and some six hundred buccaneers. The documents relate to the preparations for the attack that led to $15,000,000 in booty. (3)
