A MEISSEN DOUBLE-WALLED TUREEN AND COVER Circa 1850, blue crossed swords mark, incised B.136., impressed 60 and 50
Of elaborate gilt-enriched shaped-oval form, with female bust handles and 'jewelled' crown finial supported by two putti, the pierced double-walled cover applied with cartouche-shaped shields painted with the Royal arms of Poland and Saxony alternating with Purpurmalerei miniatures, the body similarly decorated and applied at the shoulder with putti suspending drape and flower garlands, raised on four scroll feet
