The rectangular top with fluted lower edge above a panelled frieze drawer flanked by paired shaped pilasters centering drawerfronts disguised as masks, above a leaf-tip molding and a door centered with a grotesque mask, enclosing a shelf, flanked by herms with acanthus-sheathed waists on piaster pilasters with molded bases, the base with lifting lid and leaf-carved molded front on paw feet, with a label inscribed From Mrs. William Scripps/May 31, 1955
