Late 19th/ealry 20th century, the tapestry Aubusson, Mid-18th-century
Each serpentine crestrail centered by a flowerhead flanked by flowering branches above a swept padded back and bowed seat with tapestry covers each depciting La Fontaine's fable of the fox and the crow, flanked by matching armrests on inverted cabriole supports, the seatrail similarly carved, on cabriole legs each headed by a flowerhead, the reverse and rear legs engraved with the corresponding motifs (2)
