A faon de Venise winged wine-glass
Early 17th Century, Venice
The widely flared funnel bowl with spiked gadrooned ornament beneath a trailed thread to the lower part, supported on a merese above an oviform stem moulded with lion's masks and flowerheads and applied with opposing scrolls and turquoise pincered ornament, on a conical folded foot (the stem with two small holes over mould lines)
