A faon de Venise winged goblet
17th Century, Venice
The flared bucket bowl with a vermicular collar to the lower part, the tall multi-knopped wrythen-moulded stem applied with two opposing turquoise scrolls with clear pincered ornament and two opposing opaque-white flowers with yellow stamen centres, the conical foot with a band of faint granular gilding (bowl repaired and with small internal cracks, one flower with a petal and stamens lacking)
