69 x 50mm. 114 leaves with eleven lines written in black ink in a round gothic bookhand, rubrics in red, one-line initials alternately of red or blue, two-line initials of liquid gold against grounds of crimson, green and dark blue with gold decoration, and slender foliate and flower forms curling into the margin, SIX HISTORIATED INITIALS AND HALF-LENGTH FIGURES OF STS JOHN THE BAPTIST F.18V, AGNES F.39V, CATHERINE OF SIENA F.59V, LUCY F.78V AND THE DOVE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT F.110 PAINTED BY MASTER B. F. or a close follower (lacking opening and other folios, some spotting and smudging, narrow strips of staining to outer edges of margins on some folios). Old vellum (lower joint split and spine springing).
