The case with urn surmount with patinated reeded band (probably later) and with floral swags to the sides, with acanthus cast gallery to the base raised on toupie feet, with pink porcelain side panels with gilt-bordered white reserves painted with flowers, the similar dial with scene of a troubador wooing his lady below a Roman chapter ring with turquoise jewelling (three losses) and painted with a bird and butterfly amidst branches to the centre, the twin barrel movement with countwheel strike on bell -- 20½in. (52cm.) high
