The arched case on moulded base with brass bun feet, with bevelled glass panel below the silvered Roman dial with retail signature AIRD & THOMSON, GLASGOW, with pendulum regulation above XII and strike/silent by III, the twin barrel movement hour striking and quarter-chiming on five gongs, with punch mark for Winterhalder & Hofmeier to the backplate with patent number 14071 -- 15½in. (39.5cm.) high
