An English brass Spherical Weight Clock, circa 1970
With pillars to each angle and on a mahogany base with baize-lined recess, mounted to the front with a plaque inscribed Spherical Weight Clock No.764 and likewise to the top with number 572, on brass bun feet, with silvered Roman chapter ring and brass centre mounted with a plaque inscribed Harding & Bazeley Cheltenham ENGLAND, the movement driven by steel balls spiralling down a chute to the top of the case and caught by a revolving wheel, with vertically positioned lever escapement -- 13¾in. (35cm.) high
