The case with urn finials to the angles and pineapple finial to the stepped pediment, handles to the sides above cast sound frets, with caryatid mounts trailing flowers to the front angles, with mask and foliate spandrels spanning the arched front door, on hairy paw feet, the brass dial with silvered subsidiary rings to the arch for chime/silent, slow fast, chime on eight bells/Westminster chimes, the silvered chapter ring with matted centre, with retail signature on a plaque below XII EDWARD & SONS LONDON & GLASGOW, black painted steel hands, the triple chain fusee movement with anchor escapement, quarter chiming on a nest of eight bells and hour striking on a gong, with pendulum holdfast to the backplate (pendulum lacking) --25in.
