The breakarch case with urn finials, handles to the sides above arched brass latticework sound frets, fluted columns with Corinthian capitals to the recessed front angles, on stepped and moulded base with bracket feet, the dial with silvered subsidiary rings for chime/silent and Cambridge chimes/chimes on eight bells, with foliate spandrels to the silvered chapter ring with matted centre, the substantial triple chain fusee movement with anchor escapement and quarter chiming on eight bells with hour strike on gong, with pendulum holdfast to the foliate engraved backplate -- 18¼in. (46.5cm.) high
