decorated in gold lacquer hiramakie and takamakie with an eagle in flight amongst pine branches -- 5½in. (14cm) high, lacquered wood stand; a similar smaller vase decorated in gold lacquer with cranes in flight -- 3in. (7.6cm) high; six further similar vases decorated in gold lacquer with birds, animals and insects, four with covers -- 2.7/8in. (7.5cm) high, four with stands; and two hardwood rectangular boxes with hinged covers, one carved in relief with flowers and foliage -- 10¾in. (27.3cm) long, max., 19th Century. (10)
