A Japanese ivory tusk vase
carved in low relief with boys dressed as warriors beside a peacock beneath a pine tree in a fenced garden -- 5in. (12.7cm) high; and another similar carved with Hotei leaning on his sack beside three playful boys beneath pine and cloud scrolls -- 4.7/8in. (12cm) high, 19th Century, (both without bases, minor hairline age cracks and small chips to bottom edges)
