A large Imari bowl
painted and gilt with a central roundel of a mandarin duck on a riverbank lined with flowers, a further bird in flight above, all within a border of shaped panels of flowers and leaves -- 15¾in. (40cm.) diam; and four smaller bowls, decorated with butterflies amongst flowers, jardinieres of peonies and further flowers and trees -- the largest 9½in. (23.5cm.) diam, all 19th Century. (5)
