The helmet a twenty-nine plate suji-bachi kabuto (bowl with standing flanges) with gilt-copper fukurin (metal edging along the rear vertical edge of each flange), and with igaki (metal plates at the base of each flange), a three stage tehen kanamono (ornamental ring on the top of the bowl), and with the mabisashi (peak) covered with leather and printed with a Chinese lion and edged with fukurin (rolled metal edging), the large kuwagata-dai pierced with foliage and chrysanthemums with a sanko and kenkuwagata (ornament in the form of a Buddhist sword) in the center, the five-lame hineno jikoro (neck guard) laced in kebiki odoshi with a small fukigaeshi, the bottom lame covered in leather printed with cherry blossoms; the face mask with a moustache, chin tuft and gilt copper teeth; the yodarekake (solid plate neck guard) of four-lame kiritsuke kozane (solid plate formed to simulate scales), the nodowa (throat and chest protector) similarly decorated; the whole armor of black-lacquered kozane (scales) laced in dark blue, the ni mai tachi do (two-plate cuirass) with seven sections of kusazuri and with a bracket and socket for a sashimono (small flag worn on the back of the cuirass), the hardware on the front of the do and tosei sode decorated in similar fashion with the hishi crest, with matching oda gote (sleeves with gourd-shaped plates), ikada haidate ("raft" thighguards) and shino-suncate (splint shinguards); with a saihai (baton), a fan and a wood storage box The stirrups decorated with seashells in brass and silver inlay, the underside with swirling wave patterns, the interior lacquered red
