An Inlaid Celadon-Glazed Bowl
Koryo Dynasty (13th Century)
Moulded as a chrysanthemum blossom with curved outer walls representing sixteen petals ending in triangular points at the rim, each of the exterior facets inlaid in white and black slip with rectangular panels of triple-chrysanthemums within line borders of black and then white slip, the vessel also inlaid in white slip in the well with a circular chrysanthemum medallion surrounded by a collar of pulloch'o fungus, and covered by a greyish-green celadon glaze, three spur marks on base
