An Iron-Decorated White Porcelain Jar
Choson Period (17th-18th Century)
Of high-shouldered ovoid form set on a circular foot enclosing a deep, recessed base and painted in underglaze iron-brown with a long undulating dragon chasing a large flaming pearl among scattered scalloped clouds, eyes and random scales of the dragon reddish-brown, the jar also decorated with a clear glaze appearing white where more thickly applied and with extensive crackle, foot rim unglazed
