A massive Minton majolica dark-blue-ground 'Bacchus' vase
of urn-shaped form, moulded and applied with three satyr masks and festoons of pendant fruit, suspending rope-twist swags above gadrooned lower section, on pedestal stem and plinth base, with wood stand, circa 1870 (flaking and overpainting to the neck, chips to the stem and corners of the base) -- the vase 94.5cm. high
