An Art Deco Vanity Case By Cartier, and a Belle Epoque Necessaire Case
Both of rectangular hinged outline, the first of black enamel with rose-cut diamond detail with diamond push-piece opening to reveal a mirror and two compartments, circa 1925, with French assay marks, 9.5 cm. long; the second with seed-pearl top and pavé-set diamond corners to the sapphire push pieces opening to reveal a carte de danse, mirror, powder compartment and lipstick holder (five diamonds deficient), circa 1910, 9.5 cm. long
The first signed by Cartier , no. 0333; the second stamped C.A.H, no. 44532 (2)
