Decorated in underglaze blue, iron-red and gilt in the Japanese style with a prunus branch below stiff leaves around the tall cylindrical necks, one rim restored
both about 8¼ in. (21 cm.) high (2)

Lot Essay

A pair of similarly decorated bottle vases, slightly smaller, are in the Collection Bal, Zeeuws Museum, Middelburg, and are illlustrated by D. F. Lunsingh Scheurleer, Chinese Export Porcelain, 1974, fig.320.
