The rectangular plain top decorated on the reverse with penwork panels depicting allegorical figures of Astronomy and Geometry in architectural stylised landscapes with arcaded figures above centred by a nobleman in arched surroundings, with foliate scroll surround with figure and animals below, the interior with later hinged panel and applied with wrought iron hinges, the triple panelled front centred by a galleon between classical scenes of a satyr with female reclining figure and musician in a landscape between figurative stiles and surrounds with animals, putti and foliage, on a moulded base
