Lot Essay

In 1800 Wilmott advertised a number of items of patent furniture including improved dining tables. A sofa table bearing a label with the same address is illustrated in C. Gilbert Pictorial Dictionary of Marked London Furniture 1700-1840, Leeds, 1996, p.490, no.1008.
