One a gadget walking stick, the plain vertical handle with a compass inserted at the terminal, on a plain shaft with an ivory ferrule, late 19th century -- 35½in. (90.2cm.); and another ivory L-shaped handle carved as a skull with inset glass eyes, surmounted by a rat and a running dog behind, with a silvered metal collar on an ebonised shaft, handle 19th century on associated 20th century shaft -- 36½in.
