A preparatory study for Menescardi's canvas of the same subject in the Collezione Besozzi, Turin.
Egidio Martini attributes this canvas to an artist he names the 'Maestro della Gerusalemme Liberata' contesting both Pallucchini's and Morassi's support of the previous attribution to Menescardi, E. Martini, La Pittura del Settecento Veneto, Udine, 1982, p. 511, no. 201, fig. 601.
