The Piazza dei Signori is an elegant square in the centre of Padua, lined with fourteenth- and fifteenth-century buildings, including the Palazzo del Capitanio, the former residence of the Venetian Governors (Signori), and the Torre dell'Orologio, with its arcade and graceful Renaissance gallery, the Loggia del Consiglio.
