NORTH EAST PERSIA, 10TH CENTURY
Of rounded form on short foot, the yellow interior painted with a large mounted horseman, the reins in his left hand, a dagger or short sword in his right, on a brown prancing horse with a large dotted saddle with stirrup, a leopard below, a goose and a bird headed quadruped either side of the horse, a stylised kufic panel towards the rim, the exterior with alternating green, white and yellow leaf motifs, repaired clean breaks, scattered slight restoration
