Of oval form with two convex faces and side ridge, one face engraved with a nine-line kufic inscription, the other side with similar kufic arranged below and flanking an upper diagram centred on a circle, slight chipping
1½in. (3.8cm.) high

Lot Essay

The inscriptions are talismanic. One begins "in the name of the Most Great God".
