The Madonna and Child enthroned, with Saints John the Baptist and Anthony Abbot, a Bishop Saint and an Evangelist

We are grateful to Mr. Everett Fahy for the attribution, given on the basis of a black and white photograph. He considers this to be a characteristic work by the artist, a Florentine who probably was trained by Lorenzo di Nicolò. Influenced by Spinello Aretino, there is a similar anconetta by him in the abbey at Cava dei Tirreni, near Salerno.
