Each painted in iron-red enriched with gilt with Ho-Ho birds, the rim with dragons alternating with Japanese trophies, within gilt line edge (wear to gilt edges)--9 5/8in. (24.3cm.) diam. (4)

The design is a direct copy by Meissen of a Japanese service. The puce initials refer to the Königliche Hof-Conditorei or the Royal Court Confectionery/Pantry.
