Marie-Amélie-Thérèse, Queen of France (1782-1866), daughter of King Ferdinand IV of Naples, was born at Caserta. Driven from Naples in 1798, Marie-Amélie was raised in Palermo and Vienna. She married Louis-Philippe in 1809, and was crowned Queen of France in 1830. The revolution of 1848 forced the royal family into exile, and the last Bourbon queen of France died in England in 1866.
