The box of rectangular form, the oval lid decorated with a painted multi-coloured scene depicting figures in a pastoral landscape, opened by a slide in the front revealing a singing bird rotating on its axis, flapping its wings, wagging its tail and opening its beak, pierced and engraved foliage decorated gilt grill, all surrounded by a painted multi-coloured pastoral scene, the blue and white champleve enamel decorated sides centered by circular painted multi-coloured riverside scenes, winding hole to the plain bottom plate, together with a bird-shaped gilt key and original fitted presentation box, unsigned, stamped with German hallmark
