A good selection from this important but rare work (complete in 3 atlas volumes, and 3 volumes of text). The present volume contains one folding engraved map, 3 double-page engraved panoramas, 2 partially hand-coloured, 10 tinted lithographic topographical views, 11 lithographic portraits, one tinted and 9 hand-coloured, 6 hand-coloured costume plates, 7 hand-coloured scenes of native life, 5 hand-coloured lithographs of ethnographical objects, and 14 archaeological plates, most engraved. Sold as a collection of plates, not subject to return.
