The galleried quatrefoil top above a ring-turned fluted spreading stem issuing from an upspringing acanthus-carved baluster base, on three molded cabriole legs with acanthus-carved knees and scrolled toes, numbered 10543 in orange paint, and JH.22 in white chalk, bearing the trade label of Stair & Co., New York
