Comprising two armchairs and six side chairs, each with serpentine crestrail with acanthus-sheathed S-scrolled ears, above a pierced acanthus-sheathed scrolled splat headed by a large rocaille, and a padded seat covered with cream leather, on acanthus-sheathed cabriole legs with acanthus-cabochon ball feet (8)

The design for the current chair splats is based on a pattern published in Thomas Chippendale's The Gentleman and Cabinet-Maker's Director of 1754, plate XII.
